A new little hereford bull calf joined us last week! We bought his mum a while back but didn’t know she was pregnant. So it was a bit of a surprise to have a calf born in the middle of summer.
We’ve had some very up and down weather lately. We had a massive storm which we were very grateful for as we needed the rain badly. Then it was back to very hot temperatures, then down to 15 degrees again! Here’s a photo of our cattle cuddling up on one of the colder days. We’re back to a more reasonable 26 degrees today!
The hot weather of the past few days sparked a bushfire about 40km to the west of us near Taralga. We’ve been getting a fair bit of smoke from it, producing some hazy sunsets like this one.
